Energy wholesale
On the electricity wholesale market, producers sell electricity to consumers for every hour of the day. Most electricity is traded on the Day-ahead market, which takes place one day before delivery and is also known as the spot market.
The needs and production capacities of electricity producers and consumers can also change during the day. For this purpose, there is the Intraday market, where continuous bilateral trading takes place between electricity sellers and buyers.
